What are Medicaid and MassHealth
Medicaid is a federal health insurance assistance program for certain groups of people without the financial means to cover certain healthcare costs. MassHealth is Massachusetts’ version of Medicaid. We work mostly with the MassHealth program that provides healthcare coverage for nursing home care for individuals who meet specific financial and functional criteria.
